Dave and his family are currently active in a Life Group and had been active in young adults from 1998 to 2008.
2 Timothy 1:9 – He has saved us and called us to a holy life – not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time.
My family has been attending Faith Church since the mid-1940’s. From the time I was an infant I was exposed to the Word both at home and at church. I don’t remember the exact date, but at about age 6 I recognized my need for a Savior and asked my mom and my sister to help me invite Christ into my heart. I continued to grow in His love, grace, and knowledge. I did experience (as many have) a rebellious time in my teenage years but as I matured and reached my 20’s I re-dedicated my life to Him.
The Lord has blessed me more than I deserve, and I humbly identify with Paul as the chief of sinners saved by grace. The Lord has used me through the years in music ministries, board of trustees, sound system crew, and building committee. He has blessed me with a godly wife, Joann, and three God-fearing children. I have always, up to now, considered my work at QPRC as more than a job but part of my ministry. I hold on to my life passage: Romans 8:31-39 (“more than conquerors”) to sustain me and to Christ alone for salvation.
I have been involved as a member of Faith Church since 2008. I was born in Phoenix, AZ where my twin brother and I were raised, and home schooled, by our Christian parents (during that time we also lived for a few years near Seattle, WA). It was during my teen years that the gospel gripped my heart through various avenues (The Jesus Film, sermons on the passion of Christ at the cross, Sunday school and youth group leaders). At the age of eighteen, I moved to Southern New Jersey after being involved in the Boardwalk Chapel in Wildwood, NJ (an evangelistic ministry of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church). While living in NJ, I met my wife-to-be… Kandi! We married in 2002 and soon began building a family. We now have two boys (Josh and Cooper) and two girls (Arizona and Jocelyn).
I have had the privilege of serving as a deacon for the last 4 years. I believe the Bible calls us to show the love of Christ by word and in deed and am thankful for the ways God has used the deacons to do that. I have a heart for people, and desire to continue serving in the office of deacon to serve and lead in meeting the needs of people in a way that extends Christ’s love to them in tangible ways.
