Faith Church is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America. We were started in 1936 by a small group of godly men and women who desired to have a church which would be true to the gospel of Jesus and the Word of God. They had little but their trust in God and so they called us Faith Church. As they read the Bible they saw that God is sovereign in everything and that He alone is the One who can save. The Bible teaches that all of us have offended the holy God by our attitudes, actions and words. Even though He is deeply grieved by our sin, He loves us and has chosen to redeem us by His grace. This understanding is the heart of what it means to be Presbyterian.

Our church has changed a great deal over the decades since then and we have had various denominational affiliations, but we have stayed the same in our core beliefs and values. We have always had a deep burden to see people released from their sins and have the joy of being reconciled to God through Jesus Christ. Thus we have always been known for sharing the good news of Jesus and for being involved in starting other churches and in supporting world wide missions.

Seventy years ago, Quarryville was a small, quiet, rural town. Today we are still rural, but distances have shrunk and our area is becoming more diverse. We are eager to have as diverse a congregation of people as live in our area. For years our membership hung at around one hundred. But in recent decades we have been growing along with our community and now have over six hundred communicant and non-communicant members.
